Have you spoken to them directly? The windscreen brackets were showing out of stock when I wanted them, so I emailed and it turned out they were just putting the kits together, within a couple of days they were back in stock.

High quality and easy to fit. You can‘t remove the bolt with bonnet closed; it‘s not a „security“ bolt such as torx pin. Also the nuts from underneath the bonnet are not shear nuts.

(these are the standard black not matte)

I have swapped all of my external stuff for stainless security bolts - couple of different types mixed on every fitting.

Anything that makes the scum move onto somewhere else that is easier has to be worth it. Rgds.

Thanks for the advice and ideas.
I particularly like the mixing up of the fittings and securings, I hadn’t considered that......such a simple solution!

I like those bonnet hinges, they are pretty much identical to the originals.

Need to consider which ones to chose now🤔

I've done the same as Pacha and used a mix of different screw heads. Anyway of delaying the scumbags has got to be good. Defender 90XS SW

Hello trailbear

In my opinion the value of these bonnet security hinges is almost completely down to the quality of the
of the security bolt holding the 'barrel' in position, this assuming the rest of the product is made
from reasonably tough material does improve the standard arrangements, so is worth adding.

As covered... the bulkhead hinge part is stud / welded into position and so can for all reasonable scenarios
not be considered the weak link, the standard bonnet element of the hinge is as good as its fixings,
these can be upgraded to 'unique' types... the crazy bit is that Land rover never corrected the 'bonnet off'
when vertical arrangement, hence the aftermarket work-arounds. Its worth noting that the standard hinge
contains the 'bulk head element' and 'rubber sleeve' well... its just the 'hook it on' that will do... doesn't do.

When I got my latest Defender I looked at the then few security hinges on the market at the time (2013)
and inclined to play around I went a different route.

I wont detail just how these are fixed, other than to say it took a lot of effort. I'm happy enough with the
result, I like the fact also I'm almost certainly the only one, this approach was probably considered and rejected
by those who have made a security hinge, because of the install requirements. I fitted these after I applied
Dinitrol to the bonnet where it's easy lift off characteristics were appreciated (once).

I purchased a set of these purely to stop the bonnet rattling as their bush and pin system is superior to any other hinge out there.

Thumbs Up for closing that gap this way.
With security hinges you could even close it permanently, in theory. In practise I can't think of a neat solution (because I have no clue of welding and painting).

That is some fancy piece of fabrication work which I would have to say is completely beyond my current skill set.
I shouldn’t imagine that will come off anytime soon!
