Defender won’t go above 50
Hello, i have just had a new clutch and flywheel fitted on my defender 90 td5 2002 and it doesn’t seem to go above 50mph, is this’s normal for a bit or is there something wrong? Thankyou

Is the transmission brake binding ? It would get pretty hot if it were.

That’s an interesting idea JST, especially if the transfer box was in Low, the linkage not connected and the lever in high.
DJMdaniel , Have you been going through the gears double quick to get up to speed ?

Did they forget to plug the air flow meter or the vacuum hose to the air box?
