Exmoor trim modular seats
Hi, does anyone own a set of the exmoor trim premium seats? Are they worth the £900 or is there a better alternative out there in the same price bracket? Many thanks

Pretty sure that’s what I’ve got, they are ok but I thought the original seats were ok too. The wife wanted a higher back seat as she gets sore necks, I’m not sure if it has sorted her out though as she still does a fair amount of moaning. The heaters are great but I find my bum gets sore after a couple of hours in them - maybe it’s just my bum and not the seat though?

Reviving an old post!

How did you get on? Which seats did you choose and how have they lasted?

If anyone else has aftermarket seats or upgrades would be great to see your pictures and reviews!

Thanks 🙏

I have Recaro Sportster CS Bucket seats, I brought my Defender 90 near Loch Lomond drove home to Malvern only stopping to fill up. So about a 6 hour journey they were really comfortable no aches or pains. Which was surprising considering how much a read about the Defender being uncomfortable. I am assuming that because it has rear bulkhead delete and Momo steering wheel makes a difference.

Only thing I don't like is the on/off of the heated seats wish they had levels but that's the same for all Defender seats. If your getting aftermarket seats and adding heated seat option I would think about ones that have high/low option.

Good luck with your search

McGreen, can you confirm if the bases of Recaro Sportster CS Buckets are removable as per the standard Defender seats allowing access to the seatboxes (fuses / battery) or do you need to remove the whole seat to gain access?

Thanks

Quick check looks like I will have to remove seat to gain access to the battery. I have not had to get access to the battery yet but will now keep a few more tools in the cab just incase. Very Happy Matt

Exmoors are very comfy. I would also suggest Corbeau RRS had them in my Defenders for the last 12 years, i love them very comfy on long rides. Excellent off road due to be buckets and equally good in a crash. Instagram @defender_ventures
